What a great start to the year for MMQG Inc! Our first Sit and Sew Day saw 17 ladies gather at GJ’s Discount Fabrics for a productive day of sewing. The theme for the New Year seems to be finishing UFOs and Caroline, Alissa and Louise have made great progress on some projects we have seen before.
Bronwyn showed us her gorgeous paper pieced Diamonds in the Sky blocks which make a great portable project and are quick to put together, with the pre-cut templates and fabric…
…Kay had an elegant black and cream scrappy quilt top to show us…
…and we saw the finished Saville Row quilts which were made by a few of the MMQGI ladies for a worthy cause.
The icing on the cake for the latter were the beautiful labels made by Billie.
There were delicious treats to eat and lots of buzz about the upcoming Confetti Block swap which Louise has kindly offered to co-ordinate. Details of this will be released shortly.
