The Melbourne Modern Quilt Guild and its members value service and philanthropy. Our philanthropy program is an important part of the Modern Quilt Guild mission. We are committed to using modern quilting to support individuals and communities during transitional periods. Our philanthropic program continues under the direction of our Community Quilts Coordinator.
Our Community Quilts Sew Days are an opportunity for members to create quilt blocks, quilt tops and quilts to contribute to the guild’s philanthropy program. These sew days are generally held once a month.
Community Quilts Sew Days are for members only. Attendance is free, but booking is required.
SUNDAY COMMUNITY QUILTS SEW DAYS
On Sundays, the Community Quilts Sew Days in a ground-floor room at the Elwood and St Kilda Neighbourhood Learning Centre (ESNLC; 87 Tennyson Street, Elwood, Vic. 3184).

THURSDAY COMMUNITY QUILTS SEW DAYS
On Thursday afternoons, the Community Quilts Sew Days are held at GJ’s Discount Fabrics (31 Steane St, Fairfield, Vic. 3078). Please note that the sewing room is up a flight of stairs.
